Customers and shoppers favour brands and companies that commit themselves to sustainability – and to those that credibly communicate and visualise that commitment to the world. The importance of sustainability as deciding factor also increases in the retail sector. However, most retailers currently concentrate their commitment regarding sustainability on assortment rather than shop fit or even marketing activities.
Together with the marketing experts of DFROST – Retail Identity, the VMM aims to make sustainable commitment and ecologically responsible actions in our industry visible. Together with our members, our network and all passionately involved experts of Visual Marketing we want to enable retailers and brands to use their sensible and commendable commitment for the preservation of our planet as foundation for a competitive advantage.
Therefore, the European Association for Visual Marketing and Merchandising introduced a certificate for sustainable shop windows and brand spaces in spring 2021.
