Since upscale Japanese department stores traditionally have a large, loyal following, it is wise for any luxury brand to have a well-defined presence there. One of the major players in this retail segment in Tokyo is Matsuya Ginza in the city’s Ginza shopping district. Fendi, which boasts trophies from all over the world, has had its own 100-square-metre shop-in-shop for many years.
